Downloading Files
In ALIM Web, you can either download a copy of an individual file within a document, or you can download all of the files of a document at once. In order to download files, your user account must have the proper permissions.
The steps for downloading will differ depending on the web browser you are using.
When downloading files, consider the following:
- The Publisher - File Download Job Type engine must be enabled in AssetWise System Management Console
- You have the option to define the name of the files and folders based on the document information. If the Document Number is comprised of two fields, the values are separated by a dash, in the format, for example, "Number1 - Number2 (Revision) - Title"
- If the option selected results in multiple files with the same file name, a sequence number is appended to the file name
- If the folder name option Title is selected, then all files for all documents with the same title, reside in the same folder
- When multiple files are downloaded, the resultant file is a compressed (.zip) file containing all of the downloaded files
- The maximum number of files that you can download at one time is 500, regardless of the number of Documents
- The maximum combined file download size is 10 Gb.
ALIM Web displays the 20 most recently downloaded files, in the Favorites folder.
